On a slightly rainy day I went to Jericho. A veritable oasis in the desert, the weather was better there. Went up the mountain to the north with the cable cars to see the monastery, later had a stroll across the excavation site nearby, which shows what is touted as remains of the oldest city in the history of the world.

An einem etwas regnerischen Tag ging ich nach Jericho. Eine wahre Oase in der Wüste und das Wetter war dort besser. Nahm die Seilbahn auf den nördlichen Berg um das Kloster zu sehen, später schlenderte ich über die Ausgrabungsstätte nebenan, welche die Überreste von dem aufzeigt was als älteste Stadt der Weltgeschichte beworben wird.
