From La Paz I had quite a painful bus ride to Copacabana, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. I arrived long after sunset, too late to catch a boat to the Island of the Sun. So I found a cheap hostel and spent the night.
Having arrived on the island, I spent an entire day just hiking the trail that runs high along the shores. Very exhausting, especially after I ran out of water for the last 2 hours, but definitely worth it. Most of the trail is at about 4000 meters altitude, which makes it even harder.

Von La Paz hatte ich eine ziemlich schmerzhafte Busfahrt nach Copacabana, am Ufer des Titicaca-Sees. Ich kam lange nach Sonnenuntergang an, zu spät um ein Boot auf die Sonneninsel zu erreichen. Also fand ich ein günstiges Hostel und verbrachte dort die Nacht.
Auf der Insel angekommen verbrachte ich einen ganzen Tag nur damit den Pfad zu wandern welcher hoch entlang dem Ufer verläuft. Sehr erschöpfend, besonders nachdem ich 2 Stunden vor Ende kein Wasser mehr hatte. Aber definitiv lohnenswert. Der größte Teil des Pfades ist auf etwa 4000 Metern Höhe, was es nochmal schwerer macht.
